On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Enduropale du Touquet, the mythical motorsport event, Au Pied de la Lettre is proud to have designed and manufactured a monumental giant structure, conceived as a true visual signature for this historic anniversary.
An extraordinary project for an extraordinary event.
The Enduropale du Touquet: a legend of international scale
Created in 1975 by Thierry Sabine, the Enduropale du Touquet is today the world’s largest sand enduro race. Every year, it brings together:
- thousands of riders from across the globe,
- tens of thousands of spectators gathered on the beach at Le Touquet-Paris-Plage,
- international media coverage that makes the event shine well beyond France’s borders.
For its 50th anniversary, a strong, visible and lasting marker was needed. A structure capable of embodying the history, the scale and the emotion of the Enduropale.
A strong identity, designed to become a must-visit landmark
The giant structure created for this anniversary was conceived as:
- an unmissable visual landmark,
- a natural gathering point,
- an iconic photo spot, destined to become the go-to stop for the tens of thousands of visitors.
Visible from a distance, XXL by nature, it fully reflects the DNA of the event: spectacular, popular and unifying.
A durable, luminous and moveable structure
As with each of our projects, we were determined to design a structure that is:
- 100% aluminium,
- indestructible, resistant to extreme outdoor conditions (wind, sand, sea spray),
- durable and recyclable,
- moveable, to adapt to the different spaces of the event,
- luminous, so that it exists just as powerfully by night as by day, extending the visual experience.
Every detail was designed to combine aesthetics, robustness and longevity — without compromise.

Manufacturing a structure for the 50th anniversary of the Enduropale du Touquet is an immense source of pride for the entire Au Pied de la Lettre team.
