Bouteille Mareuil le Port Rond Point M6 Capital

Roundabout installation at Mareuil-le-Port

A monumental, identity-driven and road-safe village entrance

At the entrance to Mareuil-le-Port, a roundabout of more than 35 metres in diameter is today becoming a genuine territorial landmark. Conceived as a strong visual signature, this urban development project combines XXL artistic creation, celebration of the Champagne terroir and road safety, within a durable and spectacular installation.

Imagined in close collaboration with the commune nearly two years ago, this Mareuil-le-Port roundabout installation was brought to life on 14 January 2026, the day the structures were put in place. It is to date the largest project completed by Au Pied 2 la Lettre in nearly 10 years — a key milestone in our development and our ability to take on ever more ambitious challenges.

A 6-metre giant bottle: a tribute to the Champagne terroir

The centrepiece of the roundabout, a 6-metre-high giant bottle stands proudly at the heart of the installation, visible both on the way into and out of the village. A true nod to the local Champagne terroir, this monumental sculpture embodies the identity of Mareuil-le-Port.

  • Clean, modern and luminous design, conceived by Cyril Hourriez
  • Tubular stainless steel structure, clad in aluminium sheet
  • Golden backlit bubbles, creating a spectacular visual effect by day and by night

At night, the lighting reveals the full poetry of the installation, transforming the roundabout into an elegant and immediately recognisable urban landmark.

Giant letters "Mareuil-le-Port": innovation, visibility and safety

Alongside the central sculpture, the giant letters “Mareuil-le-Port”, arranged in an arc, reinforce the visual impact of the installation. Gold and white, they benefit from a concept specifically developed for roundabouts and areas in immediate proximity to roads.

  • Multizone RGB LED lighting, fully customisable
  • Innovative and safety-conscious design
  • Passive protection function: the letters contribute to the safety of motorists who may leave the road and cross the roundabout

This development is the result of our permanent drive to innovate, combining urban design, territorial communication and road safety.

A collective project mobilising numerous areas of expertise

This large-scale project required the coordinated involvement of several trades, all working within a shared dynamic:

  • Au Pied 2 la Lettre: study, design, manufacture and installation of the XXL structures
  • Colas: roundabout preparation (earthworks and concrete slab)
  • Foseleve: crane and aerial platform
  • Génin Logistique: transport of the monumental elements

The entire Mareuil-le-Port roundabout installation was followed by the cameras of Capital, with a feature broadcast on 1 February 2026 on M6, boosting the national visibility of the project and of French expertise.

A project praised by the commune

“We are extremely satisfied with this project and with the support of Au Pied de la Lettre throughout. The structure is already remarkable by day, but it becomes even more beautiful at night when it is illuminated. It is a great source of pride for our territory.” Céline, Deputy Mayor of Mareuil-le-Port

A benchmark project for roundabout installations and XXL giant letters

With this emblematic project, Au Pied 2 la Lettre confirms its expertise in:

  • roundabout installations,
  • the manufacture of road-safe giant letters,
  • luminous monumental structures,
  • and the enhancement of territories through urban design.

This major project encourages us to continue our development and to imagine the urban installations of tomorrow — ever more innovative, durable and meaningful for local authorities.
